betterplace.org is Germany’s largest charitable online donation platform. Since its foundation in 2007 more than 41 million euros have been donated to more than 20,000 social projects in over 180 countries. The platform is financed by offering digital solutions to companies for use in their CSR strategies, as well as through private donations and support from strategic partners. betterplace.org is proudly subscribes to Transparency International's Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (Initiative for a Transparent Civil Society). betterplace.org is run by the gut.org non-profit company, a social enterprise based in Berlin.

Betterplace.org mandates transparency from all listed projects, requiring detailed reports on the utilization of funds, and ensuring donors can see the impact of their contributions.
Donors on betterplace.org can select from over 32,000 projects worldwide, according to their interests, such as child aid, environmental protection, or education.
Betterplace.org retains 2.5% of donations to cover transaction costs but does not charge entry or management fees, maximizing the funds that go directly to projects.
